The Dilemma of Decatur Street

This piece is about the possible ban of trucks on Decatur Street. All reporting, writing, editing, and producing was done by me. This was my final project for Jour361 at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Tailgating Pride

A package I shot during the 2013 Maryland Homecoming game of Maryland vs Clemson. The package focused on the tailgating competition that took place that day.

Microbrewing Pumpkins

This package was shot at a local brewery and bistro, where a pumpkin beer festival was going on. The festival is heavily influenced by the large popularity of Microbrewing, as 12 East coast microbrews showed off their best pumpkin ale. This project was shot, edited, and reported by myself for Journalism 361. 

Salsa Dancing at Stamp

My first package for Journalism 361 done about a Salsa class hosted at Stamp Student Union that is open to everyone. I shot, edited, and reported this piece.

A Green Environment

This was my final project for Journalism 262. A story about the Hy-Tek Bio group and their interesting experiment with algae that could revolutionize the way we think about a "green environment". I shot, edited, and reported the story myself. 

Keeping Shakespeare Surviving and Thriving

This was my second major project for the Journalism 262 summer class at the University of Maryland, College Park. I covered the Chesapeake Theatre Company, and their unique passion of keeping Shakespeare literature alive and enjoyable for all ages. This package was shot, edited, and narrated by myself. 

Camp School: Lasers, Games, and Fun!

This Natural Sound package was shot at the University of Maryland, College Park. I covered Camp Shule, a Nymburu sponsored camp, and the one day they brought a game truck to campus. 

This project was a one day turn. 

One Hot Ramadan

This was my first major project for Journalism 262 during the summer of 2013. I was lucky enough to get access to the Myriam Islamic Center in Ellicott City, Md, and got to cover Ramadan during this hot summer as well as their prayer leader. 

Maryland Pride and Sports

A project I did about Maryland Pride and its correlation to sports using man on street interviews and B-Roll.

This was a sequencing project that I did for a journalism class at the University of Maryland, College Park. The assignment was to make a sequence of an activity and include an interview with it. This was my final version of the project.

Rebel's Birth


This video was a project I made for my Journalism editing class. The assignment comprised of interviewing 3 different people about an event or person, record a ton of natural sound, and matching those elements to pictures that I had to take and edit in photoshop. We had to bring all the elements to class, and had to edit the entire piece during out 2 hour and 45 minute class time. This is the final product. The story is about a foal that was recently born on the University of Maryland's campus. The foal is named Rebel.
